It has been quite a while since I had the opportunity to write a new post but I wanted to take a brief lull in the summertime to offer an update on the Jerba Libraries Project, our Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) project supported by Arcadia and administered by the British Library. EAP1216 aims to digitize several private and public libraries on the island of Jerba, Tunisia, and has been running strong since summer 2019. The COVID pandemic has, of course, led to a lot of delays but the project time has succeeded in digitizing and documenting the three largest collections in the project, summarized in the following table.

The team will be working hard between now and October to finish a couple other small collections, after which we will work share the details and documentation of the project in publication.
